HOW DO WE FUNCTION AS A FAMILY OF FAITH

  • Valuing Community

As a tradition of this congregation and of the faith at FAITH, we have always appreciated and supported our communities. People               come from all walks of life to our place for enjoyment and peace in the LORD and refreshment as well as support. We currently                   have the local Brownie Troop meeting at our facility.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Tuesday and Friday at noon in our gathering room for support and fellowship!

Boy Scouts periodically use the facilities for housed retreats!

The Pocono Mountain Summer Concert Series of offered at Faith!

The concerts are open to the public and are free (we do ask for a

free will offering to help offset the cost of bringing in the groups).

In 2019 we will enjoy four concerts, one a month from June to September.

Watch our calendar for specific times and names of the groups!

The Faith Fair, traditionally held on the second Saturday in August, is an event where venders are welcomed. Additionally, our                       members and friends bake goods and feature a fine lunch with lots of great fellowship!

Our Apple Festival is held each fall around the end of September. Featured are our home baked apple products as well as crafts                   and gift baskets! It is a great time with lunch and goodies served from 10 to 2! Watch the calendar for details.

Our Sunday School enjoys hosting an Easter Egg Hunt for the Community on the Saturday before Easter. All children are welcome!             The Sunday School also enjoys hosting the Christmas Pageant and Congregational Dinner as well as the June closing event for                     Sunday School.  All are invited to attend.

People are welcomed to come and use the facilities for events via our event planning process with a contract which is processed                  through our Church Council.

           Our facility is handicapped accessible.

  • Valuing those in need

We value people who are challenged and or who just want a place to belong…all are welcome here!  Our members and friends                    provide food for the food pantry, support for the nursing homes and schools through volunteers, and items with visits for those in              care facilities. We have a support budget for mission and our members give generously to the mission work of the ELCA.

  • Valuing our connectedness

Our commitment was, from our humble beginnings in the Distelfink Bakery, and continues to be connected to each other and to                 members of our community.  Please join us on Sunday morning or stop by and see the Pastor or other members of FAITH on                       weekday mornings or by appointment. We would love to meet you, pray with you and support you in your FAITH journey.

OUR FUTURE INCLUDES YOU!

Please feel free to stop by and see us!
